Gallagher began playing guitar at the age of twelve and worked as a roadie and technician for Inspiral Carpets at the age of 21. When he found out that his younger brother Liam Gallagher autographs had joined a band called The Rain, which later became Oasis. Liam encouraged him to join the band as manager.
